Daytona Anima 190 FSM — 4-Valve, 4-Speed Crate Engine

The Anima 190 FSM is the race-spec version of Daytona's 4-valve single: 187.2cc, square 62 x 62 mm bore and stroke, a 4-speed gearbox, and a lightweight magneto rotor that lets the engine spin up fast out of slow corners. It is the same engine family we fit to our top-spec VMC GP12 and MT-01, supplied new in the crate.

No lighting coil and no electric start — just the parts that make a mini GP bike faster. If you are building or upgrading a kart-track race bike, this is the one to have.

Why the FSM

  • 4-valve SOHC head — breathes far better than the 2-valve 190s, with strong pull through the top of the rev range.
  • Lightweight magneto rotor — less rotating mass for sharper throttle response and quicker acceleration.
  • 4-speed gearbox, N-1-2-3-4 pattern — neutral at the bottom, so there is no false neutral to find between first and second on track.
  • Auto-decompression camshaft — easy kick starting, hot or cold.
  • CRF50-pattern engine mounts — fits frames built around the Honda CRF50 mount pitch, including the VMC GP12 and MT-01 (see Fitment below).

Fitment

VMC GP12 and MT-01: the top engine mounting hole must be enlarged to fit VMC bikes. This is a simple modification, but it is required — the engine will not bolt in without it.

The engine also fits other mini GP and pit bike frames built around the Honda CRF50 engine mount pattern. Check clearance for the 4-valve head and exhaust routing on non-VMC frames before ordering.
