Moto-Tron Pro-Extreme Tire Warmers — MiniGP 10" / 12"

The first thing to add to a miniGP. Slicks need heat, and on a kart track there isn't room to put it in on the first lap. These are Moto-Tron's Pro-Extreme digital warmers in the two small-wheel sizes, made for 10" and 12" race wheels: the same fireproof shell, silicone heating wire and ±1°C controller as the superbike set, cut down to fit.

Which size

• 12" — VMC GP12 and MT-01 Motard (100/90-12 front, 120/80-12 rear). Also fits other 12" miniGP and pit-bike race wheels in the 100–110 front / 120–130 rear range.
• 10" — VMC GP10 (100/85-10 front, 120/80-10 rear) and other 10" miniGP wheels.

What it does

Plug in when you arrive, let them sit 20–30 minutes, and the tires are at working temperature before you roll out. The heating wire runs out over the sidewall and rim edge, so the whole tire comes up evenly rather than just the centre of the tread. Set the temperature on the controller and it holds there, ±1°C, until you pull the warmer off. Fewer cold-tire crashes, longer tire life, and lap one counts.

Lead time and support

MiniGP sizes are ordered in from Moto-Tron's stock rather than held on our shelf — allow about 3 weeks from order to your door. Shipping is by weight at checkout. Moto-Tron covers manufacturing defects with a 1-year limited warranty through authorized dealers; crash damage, cuts and normal wear are not covered. Closed-course use. Never run a warmer on a tire that is not mounted and inflated, and unplug before removing.
